How to submit the insurance form – Guidelines
1. It is required to insure the entire shipment at reasonable values common for Destination Country.
2. All the items of the shipment should be included into the Insurance List, it means that the packing list and insurance list should match.
3. In case you are unable to find the items to be shipped in the Insurance Form, you need to add those to the blank spaces left on every sheet of the Form.
4. In case there are more than one items of the same kind or category (e.g. guitars) they have to be listed separately as it is pretty common that one or more items have a different value.
5. In case one carton from one category of the shipment is damaged or lost the Insurance Company will calculate compensation in the following way. The value of the entire category will be divided between the number of cartons in the category (e.g. Women’s Clothing: 10 cartons with a total value of $1000 so the value of one carton is $100) despite it could be the carton with most expensive clothes. In order to avoid undervaluation we strongly recommend to list and evaluate the expensive pieces of clothes (Designer Jacket or Luxury Fur) separately.
6. The Insurance Company does not cover: scratches, damaged paint, wood/iron bending on the used furniture (the rule does not applicable only to the new, originally packed items in the supported by the invoice/receipt).
7. The Insurance Company does not cover - mechanical damages of the electric items unless it has been proven that an incident occurred during the transportation.
